Festivals rumors

From Virtual Festivals:
http://www.virtualfestivals.com/latest/features/9219/-/Festival-rumours-roundup-2011-part-two
We continue our 2011 rumours round-up by checking out all the T In The Park, Isle Of Wight Festival and V Festival gossip.
In our second part of a three part series, Chris Eustace looks at the likelihood of the big rumours knocking around this summer. So without further ado…
T In The Park 2011
8-10 July at Balado, Kinross-shire
HOT
Foo Fighters, Blink 182
Already confirmed as headliners, both could have new albums out by T-time, and both are established festival veterans, hit-packed singalong shows are pretty much guaranteed by both, though one set will have extra fart jokes.
T tends to share a lot of its bands with Oxegen, and going on what they've announced so far...
VERY WARM
Arctic Monkeys
Already confirmed to headline Oxegen, it would suggest there's a good chance that the third T slot has their name on it, after all, the other headliners for Oxegen are, you guessed it, The Foos and Blink.
WARM
Black Eyed Peas
Just confirmed for Oxegen, they went down a storm at T last year, a repeat is looking likely.
Paolo Nutini
Another confirmed for Oxegen, it would be a safe bet to assume he fancies a big homecoming slot at T as well.
Biffy Clyro
Another good bet for a homecoming slot, possibly even as headliners. After all, they've already graduated to top the bill at Sonisphere, where better to seal their new-found status than on home turf?
The Proclaimers
Oh come on, they always play, right?!
LUKEWARM
Pulp
No Scottish dates on their comeback trail yet, is this the one?
Isle of Wight Festival 2011
10-12 June at Seaclose Park, Newport
HOT
Kings Of Leon, Foo Fighters, Kasabian
Once again IOW gets some sensational headliners in, as KOL celebrate their rise to stadium status with a third straight year as UK festival headliners, Foos look to take back their festival crown with a new album "made for the outdoors" and Kasabian take time out from recording new material to lead lager-fuelled singalongs to ‘LSF’.
Pulp
It’s testament to the strength of IOW’s headliners that Pulp are only second on the bill. If Jarvis and Co can recreate even 50% of the their festival appearances of old, even Dave Grohl will get nervous.
WARM
Who's playing on the Friday? There's still only Kings Of Leon announced for the Main Stage that day. As the band tend to have their friends supporting them on tour, perhaps we'll see performances from recent KOL openers like The Drums. Don't rule out the likes of Interpol or Ellie Goulding either.
V Festival 2011
20-21 August at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire
HOT
Eminem
Having gone down well at T and Oxegen last year, Marshall was tipped for a headlining slot at V in the papers the other week. It would represent an interesting shift away from guitar-based headliners for the festival, but given his amazing critical and commercial resurrection this past year, it would prove a popular one.
Arctic Monkeys
The same report also reckons Sheffield’s other favourite sons (now Pulp are back!) will take bill-topping duties on the other day of the festival. With Oxegen and a few European festivals already confirmed, this looks pretty likely, and having already headlined Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds in the past, it seems like they’re looking to complete the set this summer.
WARM
Rihanna
This may be a case of putting two and two together and making five, but given Rihanna’s recent comments about wanting to play Glastonbury, she’s obviously up for a festival or two. She’s also touring next year, so what are the chances she might want to play a set of her own before joining Mr. Mathers for ‘Love The Way You Lie’?
Dizzee Rascal
The rapper hasn’t been on V Festival soil for a couple of years but a sterling pair of Reading and Leeds shows in 2010, a double dose of Dirtee Disco is looking likely.
LUKEWARM
Coldplay
If the Glastonbury deal isn’t sealed and they still fancy playing a festival, especially with that new album coming, this seems like the other most likely destination. The tabloids have placed them here as well.
